Save the numbers! begins with a story about lost numbers. These numbers were living peacefully on the clock until a tornado swept them away and scattered them all over. Now, your mission is to find and rescue the numbers from the tricky situations they're in.

Start by rescuing number 1, who ended up in a lake. First, you have to throw it a lifesaver so it can get out of the water. Then, you have to give it a bath and dry it so it can go back to its position on the clock. During the bath, which is repeated for each number, you have to slide your finger over the number, learning how to write it in the process. First, you wash it with soap, then you rinse it with water, dry it off, and finally iron it. By the end of the bath, you'll have written the number at least four times before it hops back onto the clock and your adventure continues.
